Texas Auto Experts Love the Hyundai IONIQ 5 EV

Hyundai recently won a Texas-sized stack of prestigious awards — including multiple honors for the innovative, all-new IONIQ 5 electric SUV.

For this year’s Texas Auto Writers Association awards, 30 auto journalists from around the state congregated in Fort Worth to test 33 vehicles at the Texas Motor Speedway. They were all-in on the IONIQ 5, naming it this year’s CUV (crossover utility vehicle) of Texas and this year’s Electric Vehicle of Texas.

And that’s not all — Texas auto writers also awarded the IONIQ 5 for Highest Personal Appeal and named its vehicle-to-load power adaptor the year’s Best New Feature. In addition, they crowned the Hyundai Elantra N with this year’s Best Value and Performance Sedan of Texas awards.
