2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Driving in the desert

There is much anticipation and excitement surrounding the new model year of the new Hyundai Santa Fe, and we can’t blame our Harlingen customers for eagerly awaiting its arrival. While the EPA hasn’t released the official Hyundai Santa Fe mpg ratings at press time, we can offer some estimates from the automotive press while also looking at the information about Santa Fe’s new fuel-efficient powertrain options.

If you want to learn more about this new Hyundai vehicle, we suggest contacting our team at Tipton Hyundai in Brownsville for more information so you can get back out on the roads of Pharr as soon as possible.

2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Gas Mileage

As mentioned, we don’t have the official Hyundai Santa Fe mpg ratings from the EPA at press time. Using data from test-driving the South Korean prototype of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe, Car and Driver estimates that the gasoline powertrain should get an estimated 20-21 mpg city / 27 mpg highway. For the hybrid trims, Car and Driver is using the Hyundai Santa Fe gas mileage ratings from the 2023 model since the powertrain is very similar to what the 2024 will have. The 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid MPG ratings were 36 mpg city and 31 mpg highway.

2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Powertrains

There are two Hyundai Santa Fe powertrain options — a gasoline-powered model and a hybrid. Both feature powerful engines that should still net those great gas mileage numbers while still providing the power needed to make a large mid-size SUV have a smooth and comfortable ride. Here are the engine specifications for both powertrains, according to Car and Driver:

2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Gasoline Powertrain

  • Turbocharged 2.5L inline-four engine
  • 277 hp
  • 311 lb-ft of torque
  • Standard front-wheel drive. Available all-wheel drive
  • 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Powertrain

  • Turbocharged 1.6L inline-four engine
  • 232 hp
  • 271 lb-ft of torque
  • 6-speed automatic transmission
