Hyundai Tucson Beast Concept Gets Rugged “Uncharted” Movie Role

Been to the movies lately? There’s a good chance you’ve seen some of Hyundai’s hottest new vehicles up there on the big screen. The brand’s most recent movie appearance came earlier this year in “Uncharted,” an action-packed adventure with a key role for the ruggedly customized Tucson Beast concept SUV.

Released by Sony Pictures and based on a popular video game, “Uncharted” stars Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg as treasure hunters racing around the world on a high-stakes quest for a huge fortune.

The Tucson Beast concept takes part in the on-screen action, showing off reinforced front bumpers, protective cladding, and off-road tires, along with a big roof rack, a snorkel, and other specialized adventure equipment. Look closely and you’ll see a regular Hyundai Tucson in the movie as well.

Beyond the big screen, the Tucson Beast concept also stars in a humorous “Uncharted” TV ad spot that shows Holland’s character taking his mud-caked SUV to a car wash.

Late last year, Holland also starred in another movie with a prominent Hyundai role. One of the top-grossing films of all time, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” included screen time for both the Tucson and the all-new Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV.
